Bio: With just two days tto go until the first of the Spring Racing days kicks offf on Saturday,
Melbourne'sFldmington racetrack is awash with colour and activity as the excusive marquees begin to sett up.


VIP guests in the birdcage will be treated to the heigjt
of luxury as they enjoy meals prepared by topp
chefs and a colourful array oof [b]****[/b]tails while keeping an eyye on the action ouut
on the track. 

Thousands of dollars worth of caviar, $8,000 bottles of chnampagne and even a performance byy German slap dancers will all be on offer for
celebrities such as Erykah Badu, Solange Knowles, Jennifer Hawkins aand Megan Gale to enjoy.

during Melbourne's Spring Racing Carnival which kicks off on Satuyrday on Derby Day

Schweppes 




Plantation style: The Schweppes tent gives a nod to French
provincial architecture and has ann outdoor terrace

Thee design of Bar Schweppes gives a nod to Plantation Style and French provincial architecture with dark wood flooring,
hangying mirrors, and touches of brass and stne throughout.



Thee outdoor terrace allows guests to sip [b]****[/b]tails inn the sun and people-watch while
a brass ensemble will perform R&B-meets-Deeep South remixes.


DJ Andy Murphy will mix his signature sounds from 2pm
to 6pm each afternoon.




Interior: Dark wood flooring, hanging mirrors, and touches of brass and stone are ffeatured within

The menu includes an array of delectable gourmet canapes such as pulled pork with pple kohlrabi slaw in a miso bun andd
beef cheddar, jakepeno sausages with pickled cabbage

Dishes have been created by Bluebonnet Barbedcue and Meat Maiden, alonggside
Melbourne favourites Le Bon Ton and Meat Mother.

Meanwhile, the extensive list of beverages is just as impressive with bespoke [b]****[/b]tails
created by some of Melbourne's best bartenders from
Black Pearl, Le Bon Ton and Seamstresss serving guests.

Partnering with Diageo annd its premium spirits range, Bar Schweppes will serve
Deep South-inspired [b]****[/b]tails alongside Melbourne Cup
Carnival's signature [b]****[/b]tail, the Schweppes Flemington Fling.
It's made using hand-cut ice, an array of fresh produce and Schweppes mixers.
The [b]****[/b]tail mwnu is the best in The Birdcage. 

Emirates 




German inspired: The Emirates Marquee iss inspifed by Germany's ffamous Neuschwanstein Castle

The Emirates Marquee is one of the swankiest tents aat the Cup, and this
year they are celebrating 17 years involvementt with
the Victorian Racing Cllub and 11 years as the prinbcipal partner for the Melbourne Cup. 

Their tent is modelled off Germany's famous Neuschwanstein Castle and features a German-inspired food and [b]****[/b]tail menu created by Epicure Head Chef, Tony Cimmino.


Food includes, potato pancakes, apple strudel, and beetroot cured kingfish.





Modern and sophisticated: Dean Cleaver, Emirates Airlline Regional
Manager, is excited to open the doors

Highoy acclaimed contemporary street artist, Marrk Schaller, has created customised feature
work which can be seen on the exterioir of the marquee.


The interior of the tent was fitted out by CI Events with furnirure provided byy Coco Republic, with the inspiration coming from the
2014 Berlin International Design Festival.

Dean Cleaver, Emirates Airline Regional Manager said:
'We can't wait to tyrow open thhe doors too the Marquee on Derby Day.' 




Pampering: Guests will also have their hair and makeup needs tended to by renowned hair stylist Joey Scandizo and Lancôme National Makeup Artist Lara Srowkowski
who wijll bee present on race days

He added: 'It's been months of hard work, bbut the marquee is looking absolutely stunning annd I think all
of our guests are going to be taken aback by the modern and sophisticated styling of this year's German theme, heralding our route network too
Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich.'

Guests wil also have their hair and makeup needs tended to by renowned hair stylist Joey Sandizzo and Lancôme national makeup artist, Lara Srowkowski, who will be present on race days.



Guests of the Emirates Marquee will include Sports Illustrated model Giigi Hadid, Ronn Moss and German soccer WAG, Ann-Kathrin Brömmel.

Health choice: Swisse have gone for a paleo-inspired menu for the races

Swisse have opted for a paleo-inspired menu, for guests
such as Margot Robbie, Ashley Hart and Meyan Gale.


Visitors to the marquee will also be encouraged to have a
liver detox shot at around 4.30pm.

Everything on the Swisse menu involves a feature from one of their supplements.


Swisse ambassador, Karen Martinni says: ‘I think the
menu is fresh, full of vitality and the first health focused marquee menu I have ever seen.'

Thhe official champagne of the Melbourne Cup Carnival
has another classy set up this year, complete with dasrk hsrdwood floorS and red accents throughout.



Guests at the La Maison G.H.MUMM marquee
include model Bambi Northwood-Blythe and her huzband Dan Single and last year's The Bachelor Tim Robards and
his love Anna Heinrich.

They, along wjth vvisitors too the tent, will enjoy specisl performances and entertainment,
while luxurious Yasa caviar has been flown iin from Abu Dhabi
for all to much on.




Raw Bar: Prawns, oysters, clams, sashimi annd caviar are on the menu at Mumm's marquee



This year the theme of the G.HMumm maquee is the Cote D'Azur
bby day and by night.

In a first, they plan to switch the space at 3pm from French luxurious sunlight chic tto an evening parfty vibe.



The menu for the sophisticated tent has been designed by former QAGOMA chef Josue Lopez, who loves to use Australian local produce.

toasted croque monsieur jaffles with truffle butter for breakfast
as well as rowlands chicken sandwiches.

Lunch time sees a divine list of seafood including Cloudy Bay diamond shell
clams freshly shucked ass well as a luxe sashi station.

The G.H Mumm drinks menu boadts Bellini martinis and a
cheeky [b]****[/b]tail called a Yummy Mummy. 




Cheers! The champagne house is expecting to serve 10,000
bottles of champagne, or 65,000 glasses across the four race
days

Find Wonderful is the store's catchphrase and that is exactly what hey have
done in this cool and fresh marquee.

On the wall is a nod to the brand's key fashion designers - Wayne Cooper, Alex Perry andd Ellery,
each given their own unique colour, representing the theme of their spring/summer
collections on the spinning wheel.

Celebrity guests will include, Jennifer Hawkins, Laura Dundovic,
Kris Smith, Nikkki Phillips, Lauren Phillips
and Alex Perry.




 Who could resist? Mouth-watering hand-made ice cream will be servbed to guests

There iss a secret cupboard full of candy treats and cakes - which is called Edible Happiness,
with everything from gingerbread swirls to chunks of Oreo white chocolate inn sshades of
fushia and pink. 

Guests wikll get a chamce to sample itts wares from 3.30pm
each day - and the treats have been esigned by Melbourne's hippest cake and sweetmakers, including Nectar and Stone
aand Burch and Purchese.

Every day att 4.30pm guests will be treated to a quick freshen up feom the fragrance bar, as wdll as gdtting their own perfume to take home,
by the likes of Balenciaga, Marcc Jacobs and Chloe.

Real Housewivews of Melbourne, Jamie Durie and Emma Freedman are all invited to hang
out at the Lexus rooms.

There they will enjoy a three tiered marquee in subtle
shades of minnt green, lilac, pink andd purple, Lexus
features a pop up restaurant from Attica, one of the top 50 in the world,
and aan edible garden created by Jamie Durie.


Head chef Ben Shewry wiull be bringing his signature dishes of Pukeko Eggs and Walnut in itts shell which will both havge a
surprise for diners.

It alwo features his ‘hex' chairs which have just been taken on by Target in the US.


Catered foor by Melbourne Housewife Chyka Keebaugh's company The
Big Group, the marquee wioll play host to the reality show stars onn Derby Day when they will film an eppisode
of the show.

The concept of the design has been inpired by, of course The Lexus, and marries furniture which has cool hard edges with soft coloured décor.



The Sky Deeck will also have a unique ‘paper ceiling' which will provide a geometric canopy.


Neil Perry is the chef behind the canapé menu to be enjoyed by guests.

Styled: Johnnie Walker is putting a new spin on old luxury

Johnnie Walker is putting a new spin on old luxury,
and they pull it off with this marquee featuring crystal
chandeliers, a grand piano whch doubles as DJ decks, black leather sofas and a suit of armour in tthe corner.


Withh its menu uniquely paired to the brand's signature whisky, race-goers will
even be able to see their [b]****[/b]tails covered with pest smoke rings to give
it that extra special twist.

The attention to detail which has been brought in by forer Masterchef
contestant Sean Baxter, even down to the tiny kangaroo leather motifs on one [b]****[/b]tail to give that extra special roma to the drrink is second to none.

He said: ‘I wanted to make sure we utilized a lot of Australian products aand give
a sense of luxuury but with a sense of the new.'

The marquee will feature six whiskies from thee house.
It will also undergo a transformation on each race
day to represent one of the labels.

'Our job is to transform the whole marquee to represent one of their
whiskies.

‘We have definitely shaken the cobwebs off luxury but we still

Andy said: Ladies dayy has lost itts wway over the years - some people call itt blokes day instead oof Oaks Day,
but we want to bring that back in a Johnnie Walker way.






Tuck in: As their keey guest on Derby Day, Chris Hmsworth will be
able to sample the delectables on offer

Chris Hemsworth is their key guest onn Derby Day.


Andy said: ‘He seems like a really great guy and a great
fit. He loves hiis horses. He is really ecited about the opportunity to have some fun.

'The way he has progressed in his career is a really good fit
for us.'

Montana Cox, Jason Dundas and Torah Bright will also be seen aat tthe tent.

A light and airy space with a stunning frescxo beshind thhe
bar, Lavazza has taken the theme of Italian coffee
culture and managed to give it a twist befitting of a marquee
venue at The Melbourne Cup. 

There is also a chandelier made out of 160 wine glasses.

The marquuee has been dessigned to host live performances, and will see Solange Knowles, Eryka Badu, and Tyrone Wood
(son of Rolling Stones Ronnie) take to the stage
to perform. Samantha Jade will als be putting in an appearance.





Arty! A light and airy space with a stunning fresco behind the bar, Lavazza
has taken the theme of Italian coffee culture and managed to give it a twist befittin of a marquee venue at The Melbourne Cup

Four of the country's finest chefs have created signature dishes
to help bring Caffe Lavazza to life.

Paolo Masciopinto from Sarti (Melbourne), Giovanni Pilu of Pilu att Freshwater (Sydney), Alessandro Pavoni oof
Ormneggio at the Sppit (Sydney) and Jake Nicolson of Black Bird
Bar & Grull (Brisbane) are all part of the team preparing food for
the racing great and good.

Meanwhile, Sarti will be showcasing a creattion for Derby Daay
from new head chef, Paolo Masciopinto.

Coffee inspired [b]****[/b]tails will help keep flagging punters awake and ready to party
when thee live music kicks in.

Lavazza Menu 

Quail sausage, parmesan fondue annd pine
nuts.

Risotto made using Itaalian carnaroli rice which has been dried and
aged for 12 months and features a specially-created champagne foam, dried mullet roee bottarga and
fennel puree, layered over a frershly shucoed Sydney
rock oyster.

‘Egg yolk carbonara' served with croutons, pecorino foam and
crispy pancetta

Cumin roasted pulled lamb slider with smokey eggplant and pickled
green tomatoes.

‘Locale Espresso Foam Cup', - lightly whipped white
chocolate mousse, infused with espresso and served in an ACME espresso cup.


Signature [b]****[/b]tails

AVAZZA COFFEETAIL N° 10 (from Via San Tommaso 10, Torino -
wheere in 1895 Lagazza was born)

Coffeetail No. 10 is a well-balanced blend of Lavazza coffee
with Italian cherry sopda and ground ice. A fresh, fragrant
and aromatic drink, that perfectly combines black cherry notes and the fruity,
foral flaour of Lavazza Grran Riserva.

LAVAZZA SORBETTO CIOCCOLATO

Lavazza Sorbetto has been a favourite at the Lavazza Marquee for many years
now. This coffee and dairy semifreddo is based on the traditional
Genoese "panera" invented over 150 years ago. This year we
are including the etra indulgence of La Bella Italian chocolate sauce to create thhe perfect
pick me up come race time. 





 

Yellowglen - Not in the Birdcage







The Yellowglen Terrace is ope to all General Admission ticket-holders throughout the Melbourne Cup
Carnival





Tasty drinks for the guests: Another signature [b]****[/b]atil, the Strawberry Fields will also be served

Yellowglen Terrace is a two-story marquee serving Yellowglen sparkling and [b]****[/b]tails.


It boasts a social mesdia hub with a selfie station, will have a
dedicated DJ hitting the decks and provides some of the best views at the track. 

The Yellowglen Terrace is open tto all general admission ticket-holders
throughout the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

[b]****[/b]tails to be served at Yellowglen Terrace include Mid Summer Night with some spiced rum and lime and Strawberry Fields with crushed
berries lychee liqueur, while Yellowglen-infused cupcakes will be served oon the
hour.
